XD Picture Cards were developed by Fuji / Olympus specifically for their cameras and are all made by Toshiba, they have an ultimate limit of 8Gb but are just bigger than a standard postage stamp. Performance is generally good, there are currently 3 types, the original (sometimes with a P suffix) and the newer Type M and H. Olympus are marketing Type H as -High Speed- whilst Fuji are saying -Types M and H use different methods of digital encoding- i.e. lower per cost per Mb. JTF - Just The Facts XD picture cards are all made by Toshiba so its tightly controlled so down to price alone, which are higher then the equivalent SD cards. Olympus support their Panoramic function so if you have that and want to use it then you need to get and Olympus XD card.
